Sinopec Service is engaged in the provision of all project phases service for various sectors, including oil & gas, power, buildings, roads and bridges etc. We are looking for Construction and Project support personnel.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Filing on a monthly basis VAT, PAYE, NSSF, WHT and LST when it’s due.
- Updating the general ledger including the prime books of entry on a monthly basis.
- Liaise with URA and other external auditors in matters relating to tax as well as provide the necessary tax information for both internal and external audit purposes upon request.
- Handling the refund of VAT and CIT, which includes communicating with URA and providing the supporting documents to URA.
- Raising EFRIS Invoices.
- Preparing financial management accounts in the format required monthly- Statement of Financial Position (Balance Sheet), Statement of Compressive income (P&L), Schedules to support Balance Sheet and Statement of Compressive income (P&L) and the Trial balance, all of which will be prepared using an accounting software in English language.
- Maintaining an adequate filing system for invoices, payment vouchers, returns, payment receipts.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a business-related degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration with accounts qualification in MBA, CPA, ACCA or Tax Administration will be an added advantage.
- Five years of working experience in large companies.
- Good analytical, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge and proficiency in Excel and Power Point.
- Analytical and quantitative reasoning ability.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and sense of urgency.
- A strong attention to detail.
- Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred.
- The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors.
- Strong communication skills, fluent spoken and written English,
- Chinese competency will be a plus.
