Busitema University is a multi-campus Public University located in Eastern Uganda. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill vacant positions at the University.
Interested persons who meet the requirements should submit 3 sets of applications duly signed together with detailed Curriculum Vitae with names of three referees, Academic Certificates and Transcripts and copies of Appointment Letters, 3 recent passport photographs in envelopes addressed to the:

Marine Engineering Professor

Requirements
• A PhD in Marine Engineering from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
• Master of Science in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
• Bachelors of Science Degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
• Eight (8) years of University teaching experience or relevant working experience in a reputable Organization or Industry
• Eighteen (18) recognized publications in the area of specialization, eight (8) of which as the First/ Corresponding/ Senior author.
• Supervision of five (5) Graduate students (2 of which must be PhD Students)
• Evidence of contribution to Community

• Master’s degree in Agri-business from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning
• Bachelor of Science degree (honors) in Agri-business or Agricultural Science from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning.
• Evidence of registration for a PhD (Student on-truck with an approved research topic) for those without PhD in the area of specialization from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning
• No working experience for those with PhDs or three (3) years of University teaching
• experience or relevant working experience in a reputable Organization or Industry for those without PhD.

Assistant Agricultural Officer

• A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Economics or Statistics from a recognized Institution of higher learning
• An Honors Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Statistics from a recognized Institution of higher learning
• A minimum of eight (8) years relevant working experience, five (5) of which must have been at senior management level in a large and reputable public organization or institution.
• Age limit: Should not have reached his/ her 55th birth day by deadline for submission of application
• Tenure: Five (5) years contract renewable once on satisfactory performance

• A Master’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics or Purchasing and Supplies or Business Administration majoring in supply chain management or procurement & logistics, obtained from a recognized institution of Higher learning and full professional qualification from Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
• An Honors’ Bachelor’s degree in Supplies Chain Management or Procurement and Logistics or Business Administration (Procurement option) obtained from a recognized institution of Higher Learning.
• Relevant working experience of three (3) years from a reputable organization or Industry
• Computer knowledge of Standard Desktop Applications is a must
