About US:

COOEC-CPECC Joint Venture consisting of COOEC INTERNATIONAL CO., LIMITED, and CHINA PETROLEUM ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION (CPECC) UGANDA LIMITED is a CNOOC Uganda Ltd Contractor for Kingfisher Oil Field Development Package-3, and the scope of work includes four well pads production facilities, central processing plant (CPF), Infield Flow Lines, water Intake pump stations, temporary camp, etc.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure project is executed in compliance with Petroleum (Exploration, Development and Production) Act, 2013, THE PETROLEUM (EXPLORATION, DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION) (NATIONAL CONTENT) REGULATIONS, 2016, PAU’s relevant regulations and (CNOOC UGANDA LTD) Company’s contractual requirements;
  • Monitoring the implementation of Project National Content Plan;
  • Overseeing the works associated with public relations, with the goals of maintaining good relations with CCJV,
  • Subcontractors, local community and Authorities etc;
  • Managing and supervising Ugandan employees who are dedicated to national content and public relations works;
  • Planning, organizing workshops to the Ugandan companies, registered entities and Ugandan citizens
  • Pushing relevant internal departments and subcontractors, suppliers to fulfill respective national content responsibilities;
  • Communication with the respective headquarters on aspects of the project
  • Plan and control budgets related to National content, public relations and Administration

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Qualifications in Economics, procurement, Public Relations, Petroleum Engineering, English Language, Business management etc.;
  • At least 12 years of experience of which 8 years should be in the oil and gas sector;
  • Familiar with the any of the CCJV’s procedures in the implementation of National content and administrative works;
  • Relations building;
  • Psychology;
  • EPC projects management skills;
  • Leadership and team work;
  • Good lobbying skills;
  • Proficient in English;
  • MS Office skills;
  • Project management skills.
