Our client in the Energy Sector seeks to recruit a suitably qualified and results-oriented individual for the vacancy above.
As an electricity distributor, UMEME is licensed to distribute and supply electricity to customers. This mandate involves; operation, maintenance and upgrade of electricity distribution infrastructure, electricity retail and provision of related services. The sector is regulated by the Electricity Regulatory Authority, whose mandate includes setting operating standards and appropriate end-user tariffs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. He/she will contribute to the development and maintenance of UMEME databases management in terms of both administration of process and wayleaves data.
2. Oversee the analysis of datasets and data mining activities.
3. Lead the research design, methodology, survey tool design and testing, survey planning and reports analysis processes.
4. Present research findings to the internal and external clients.
Qualifications/Experience required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer science or related field.
2. Excellent presentation and oral and written communication skills.
3. Knowledge of Applications, Database administration and management.
4. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and mobile data collection equipment.
5. Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems tools is an added advantage.
6. Proficiency in the computer usage and software like Access, Excel, Word and SharePoint.
7. Proficiency in ICT infrastructure and database management.
8. Excellent communication and organizational skills, innovative and dynamic and good team spirit.
