Reports to: Senior Legal Officer

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Legal Officer for performing the following duties:-

• Receiving complaints and giving legal advice/referrals;
• Interviewing complainants and witnesses;
• Conducting expeditious investigations and rendering investigative reports;
• Preparing Legal Memoranda;
• Assisting with the preliminary assessment of complaints;
• Maintaining an information template on complaints/advice given through the call centre and other modes of complaints receipt;
• Following up on referrals made to stakeholders;
• Maintaining and updating the complaints database;
• Preparing regular reports on complaints received through the various modes available;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Law plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from a recognized University/Institution.
