Zembo is leading the African transition to electric mobility. Based in Kampala, Uganda, we provide affordable (PayGo) electric two-wheelers to low-income motorcycle-taxi drivers, most known locally as “boda-boda” drivers. We offer a battery swapping service to our clients, enabling to swap within minutes at any of our stations.
Job Summary: As our Operations Administrator, you will be an important part of the operations team. The role of the Ops Administrator is to support all areas of the operations, swap stations, expansion, driver support and operations team members. As a start-up working under the principles of a self-organised management, we will offer you a motivating and dynamic environment. You will have a lot of responsibilities, autonomy, and the possibility to shape our young company.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- In charge of managing Insurance, both claims and policies (Motorcycles, Drivers, Team members and company)
- Human resources support to ensure the best for our teams
- Real Estate / Franchise contracts
- Expansion and station management policies
- Process design and support
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
- Proven work experience as an operational team leader or its equivalent
- At least two years of experience managing a sizable team
- Strong communication skills including English and Luganda are a MUST
- Ability to prioritize own workload
- Self-motivated and self-management attitude
- Ability to understand complex problems and create solutions
- Ability to move fast at problem solving
- Excellent team player
- Strong analytical skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit
