Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services (UIBFS) is a Centre of Excellence in Financial Services Training in Uganda. The Institute is designed to promote professionalism, and inclusion through market-led training, research, and consultancy to providers and users of financial services. The Institute’s training programs cover Professional, Short & Executive, Specialized, and Post Graduate Courses.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of long-term organizational strategy, and coordinate the Strategic planning content development across all the businesses in the Institute as per the strategic Planning process guidelines and framework
  • Support the alignment of departmental goals, processes, and resource allocation with the organizational strategy.
  • Monitor the development and execution of the approved strategic plan across the business unit and generate relevant reports
  • Identify cost improvement opportunities and hidden costs across the Institute and advise management
  • Review and evaluate the implementation of the quality management system frameworks in the directorates
  • Assess market trends and competitors and coordinate the strategic review process, and corporate score cards as well as compile quarterly and biannual reports generated from all Institute business units and projects in line with the approved strategic plans
  • Compile information on long-term trends and outlook analysis to provide input into the strategic plan review sessions
  • Prospect for, plan, and coordinate the implementation of consultancy assignments in the Institute.
  • Plan, implement, and manage proposed recommendations and projects.
  • Perform any other duty assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Applicants should be Ugandans holding:

  • An Honor’s Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology or Organizational Development or Statistics, or Quantitative Economics or Commerce or Economics Policy & Management or, Development Studies or Social Sciences or any other related courses from a recognized university.
  • Possession of a minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in any of the above courses or related course from a recognized University/awarding institution will be an added advantage
  • Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience in research or HR and OD consultancy or strategy development and implementation gained from a reputable organization with at least Three (3) years must have been at the supervisory level
  • Excellent understanding of business operations and procedures
