Job Description
The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all construction activities at the construction site in Buliisa. They must ensure that all construction work is done in compliance with TOTAL project requirements and relevant regulations and standards. The Site Manager must also manage and coordinate the work of other engineers, technicians, and contractors involved in the construction project.

Responsibilities

• Based on actual situation on site, the site manager is responsible for developing and improving project execution or schedule plan.
• Responsible for ensuring that daily mission work is done on time, and to meeting quality standard and HSSE requirement.
• Responsible for ensuring that all construction work is done in compliance with PTW, supervising HSSE officer and QC officer to work on site, reviewing all paper work. e.g. RFI,JHEA,PTW,NCR report, weather report, security report.
• Manage and coordinate the work of other engineers, technicians, and suppliers such as studying out construct drawings, technical deviation, accessories purchase list and plan, fuel demand plan, mobilization plan for personal and equipment.
• Cooperate with the managing team to complete the paperwork for QC audits from the third party.
• Organize the weekly meeting to report the work progress to the donor and specify the next daily work on the internal daily project meeting.
• Responsible for handling and reporting emergencies eg. Ebola, Malaria, First Aid, Medical Emergencies, Fire, Security, Theft, Human Rights, Corruption, etc.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction management.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction
• Good knowledge of relevant regulations and standards,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with the donor.
• The ability to manage and coordinate the management team and all workers involved in the construction project.
• Must be good in English Language.
• Excellent command in AutoCAD/ primavera P6/Microsoft project is an added advantage.
