Telecom Lead & Precom – Com Engineer Total Energies

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Control and supervise the site engineering activities for telecom carried out by Contractors in compliance with the approved design, applicable codes, and standards.
• Check and approve where required the field engineering and construction documents prepared by the contractors related to telecom discipline. Follow up incorporation of such comments by the contractors.
Provide technical support to the construction teams for engineering related topics to ensure that construction risks are well anticipated and reduced as much as possible.
Liaise with the Field Engineer on site and Deputy engineering Manager to ensure proper supervision of field engineering activities on site. Liaise with engineering centers where appropriate. Ensure compliance of the site modifications to the Project referential, requirements and applicable regulations and, their formalization in the documentation.
Supervise and coordinate the proper implementation and resolution of the design change notices issued by the contractors and subcontractors
• Manage the telecom site technical queries, so to avoid stand-by and delays by prompt responses.
• Provide support and clarification to the commissioning team in the preparation of the commissioning activities.
• Ensure that, for his discipline and area, the quality is maintained and documented by the contractors.
• Assess any requests by the contractor to deviate/change the approved design and make appropriate recommendation. Supervise the progress of the work performed by the
• contractors.
• Report on any problem encountered to the Engineering Manager and Construction Manager to prepare the regular reporting information.
• Contribute to the supervision of the LPG detailed engineering, by providing support in review / acceptance of some documentation, managing the interfaces with existing telecom design and monitoring/reporting the potential impacts. Contribute to the use of OPERCOM methodology to perform pre-commissioning
• Supervise telecom pre-commissioning preparation and ICAPS items population.
• Contribute to the use of ICAPS for the progress & punch list follow-up and their clearance
• Be vigilant on the safety aspects of the field engineering and report any anomalies noticed on site when related to his discipline.

Qualifications & Experience
• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Significant experience of more than 10 years in telecommunication discipline in Oil & Gas Industry. construction/site experience.
• Team coordination experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of oil and gas production equipment, processes, and utility systems.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills, a good level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to work on their own initiative and proactively interact with discipline teams to obtain information.
• Must be able to react quickly and decisively to constantly changing demands and circumstances and be able to identify. analyze & solve problems within the scope of the role.
• Ability and willingness to challenge the views of contractors and internal contacts effectively and robustly.
• Valid medical certificate which complies with Company standards.
