Senior Programs & Business Development Manager Latek Stay Alliance Uganda

Under the supervision of the of the Executive Director, and stationed in Kampala, Uganda, the Senior Programs & Business Development Manager will work closely with Latek Social entrepreneur members to ensure the applicability and success of a social enterprise model approach while cognizant of ensuring community impact and the set KPIs at the fore.

About Latek Stay Alliance Uganda.
Latek Stay Alliance Uganda is an umbrella Organization of Social Entrepreneurs whose overall objective is to reduce extreme poverty with a social enterprise approach to achieve sustainability and impact.

Key duties and Responsibilities
• Spearhead program development including program budgeting and steering
• Ensure high quality program management with business perspective, i.e., focus on increased production, incomes, repayment, impact loans, efficiency and sustainability
Provide risk management and business development support including market research, research & development, business planning, training, one-on-one coaching/mentorship to Latek members/potential and viable businesses
Robust implementation and continued optimization of systems/process to select and coordinate high-quality participating stakeholders including role explanation and expectation management
• Produce high quality tools/documents for all aspects of program management
• Quality MOU/contracts and contract/agreement management with implementing partners
• Closely support the Latek Monitoring and Evaluation
• Ensure joined program cycle evaluation and documentation with all stakeholders
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

Required Skills and Experience
Education:
• University Degree preferably in Agribusiness or any other business-related course with proof of knowledge in Business development.
• Post graduate studies OR a Master’s degree qualification in a business-related field would be an added advantage.

Experience:
• At least 5 years of experience in social-economic/agricultural business enterprises with field
• experience in rural work setting.
• Business experience/experience in trade, production or microfinance, including start-ups and
• scaling up.
• Experience in working with social enterprises at management level in a fast-changing environment with high levels of flexibility
• Proven ICT skills and expertise in working with and analyzing data
• Good training & facilitation skills.
• Analytical, systematic, strategic thinking, experience with scaling up and field experience.
