Impact and Innovations Development Centre (IIDC) is a not-for-profit regional Technical Assistance (TA) and Learning partner organisation that works with development agencies in the public and private sectors to promote impactful and innovative programming. IIDC builds capacities and facilitate learnings to enhance the efficacy of development programming in Africa to achieve sustainable and equitable development outcomes for all.

 

Job Summary:   In executing its mandate, Impact and Innovations Development Centre (IIDC) is seeking an Interim/on call Administrative Assistant to ensure seamless front office operations and other related administrative activities.

 

Purpose of the role: To facilitate the smooth operations of the IIDC front office and support other related administration activities.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the front office operations and create a fine ambiance.
  • Ensure that the front office is always staffed and to courteously receive and handle all visitors.
  • Ensure that all telephone calls are professionally handled and managed.
  • Check for constant proper technical performance of all office phones and secretarial equipment and take steps to resolve any problems that arise.
  • Schedule and prepare logistics for internal meetings.
  • Support staff to make photocopies, scan and print documents.
  • Provide executive assistance support to the Executive Director including scheduling and logistics for external meetings.
  • Support the Administrator to undertake administrative responsibilities
  • Undertake any other official organizational responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a degree in business administration, communications, social sciences or any other office management and administration related field.
  • Two years of experience in a related job with a formal and credible organization
  • Available on a flexible basis as and when required.
