Quality Assurance Officer Law Development Centre (LDC)

The Law Development Centre (LDC) invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacant positions in its Staff Establishment, tenable at any of its campuses:

JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Officer
SALARY SCALE LS6
REPORTS TO MANAGER ADMINISTRATION
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Quality Assurance Officer shall implement best quality assurance practices by monitoring and ensuring consistent standards and developing LDC’s quality assurance initiatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To set performance standards for every functional unit in the LDC.
• To lead the development and implementation of the institution’s quality assurance initiative.
• To contribute to the identification, development and promotion of quality assurance protocols and mechanisms.
• To write proposals for resource mobilization for the quality assurance department.
• To formulate a framework and tools for assessment of the quality of teaching by students and disseminate results to relevant stakeholders.
• To monitor and guide quality assurance of academic and other support services at LDC.
• To ensure that the LDC has reliable controls for quality assurance in all its operations.
• To support the process of assessing the LDC’s compliance with the approved relevant policies, regulations and rules.
• To participate in the management of academic standards and quality enhancement.
• To execute any other duties that can be competently and professionally performed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management or a related field from a recognized
• University/Institution.
• At least three (3) years’ experience in quality management in a reputable public or private academic institution.
