Their work focuses on partnering with communities to develop initiatives that lead out of ultra-poverty towards economic self-sufficiency.

Job Description:
The Senior Regional Manager will lead the successful implementation of Raising The Village (RTV) programs in designated regions, providing strategic and operational oversight of program replication strategies across Uganda. They will be accountable for achieving reach and impact targets, ensuring program alignment with RTV’s vision and policies, and building the capacity of field teams and partner government staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive regional strategies for sustainable development goals.
  • Manage program implementation quality, timelines, and budgets across all strategic implementations.
  • Serve as the senior government liaison and support resource planning and staff allocations.
  • Identify opportunities for program improvement and methodology enhancements.
  • Mentor, coach, and provide skills development for program staff.
  • Lead program design, planning, and implementation, including technical knowledge in various sectors.
  • Establish effective working relationships with staff, government, and stakeholders.
  • Travel to hard-to-reach areas under challenging conditions as needed.

Requirements and Experience:

  • 8-10 years of progressive management within NGOs or international development organizations.
  • Minimum of a BA, MA preferred in development, business management, or related field.
  • Proven leadership, analytical, and strategic management skills.
  • Understanding of ultra-poverty in last-mile Uganda and experience working with vulnerable communities.
  • Capacity-building skills including training, mentorship, and skills development.
  • Experience in program evaluation and data analytics for decision-making.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%.
