The Women’s International Peace Centre, formerly Isis-WICCE, is a feminist organization founded in 1974 and based in Kampala, Uganda. Our mission is to ignite women’s leadership, amplify their voices, and deepen their impact in recreating peace. Our WEAVE model intersects research (on women’s specific experiences and needs), evidence-based advocacy (to influence national, regional, and international policy and practice), holistic healing (to enable women’s wellbeing and participation in peace processes), skills and movement building to equip WHRDs with necessary skills, build networks, and facilitate the exchange of strategies to advance women’s leadership for peace.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Finance Manager will:

  • Provide strategic management and administration to the organization.
  • Implement and review policies.
  • Manage financial risk.
  • Enforce compliance with statutory and institutional guidelines.
  • Prepare financial reports.
  • Coordinate the audit process.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance. Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Public Management Accountant (CPMA).
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in accounting and/or finance, with at least 3 years at the managerial level within bilateral or international funding or non-profit development agencies.
  • Skills:
    • Developing project budgets and financial management systems.
    • Facilitating the development of accounting software.
