Rainbow International School is a coeducational 2 – 18 years day and boarding school in Kampala, Uganda. As the most established, reputable and largest International school in the country, we deliver the EYFS and IPC curricula in the Primary section, English National curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Cambridge/ Edexcel IGCSE and Advanced Level in Key Stages 4 and 5. We are currently in our second year of delivering BTEC Extended Diploma awards for a cohort of students in our sixth form.
Job Summary: We are looking for passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Primary section, in January 2025.
*This is a local hire position and only candidates with Bachelor’s in Primary Education degrees and Uganda National ID cards shall be considered.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The Successful candidates will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Be a fully qualified Primary Teacher with a Bachelor of Education in Primary Education degree
- Have relevant experience of 3 years or more (after acquiring a Bachelor’s degree) working with Primary students
- Have a good working knowledge of online teaching
- Have experience of working with students in Key Stage 2 (Years 3 – 6), equivalent to P4 – P7
- Experience with the English National Curriculum/IPC is an added advantage
- Experience in using Google Workspace (e.g. Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Meet, etc.) is an added advantage
