Job Summary: Learn and assist in executing oilfield power system and electrical equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in executing new oil-field power system and electrical equipment commissioning and start-up.
- Assist in collecting and following up on power system and electrical equipment-related issues left out by the engineering unit.
- Get familiar with power systems, electrical equipment, ESD, fire & gas system principles, position and performance.
- Learn to manage emergency response as per the emergency response plan.
- Assist with operating power and electrical equipment, routine checks and records management.
- Participate in handling power systems and electrical equipment-related faults and report to senior electrical technicians; cooperate with other departments when necessary.
- Assist in carrying out electrical equipment preventive maintenance properly as per the PM plan.
- Ensure worksite cleanliness and safety are maintained.
- Participate in coordinating and supervising electrical-related contractors’ onsite work.
- Execute instructions from the Senior Electrical Technician.
- Participate in all training programs organized by the Company.
- Perform other duties assigned by superiors.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 0-2 years’ work experience is preferred with Oil & Gas industry background.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of power systems and electrical equipment.
