About US:
Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) is a corporate body responsible for regulation of civil aviation in the country. It manages Entebbe International Airport (EIA) and thirteen (13) other upcountry aerodromes. UCAA carries out its work in conformity with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs).
Job Summary: This position exists to collect revenue in accordance with the Authority’s policies and guidelines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Revenue Collection and Cash Management.
- Manage cash and digital payments
- Ensure accurate fee collection
- Maintain compliance with the Authority’s revenue collection policies
- Maintain accurate logs of daily transactions/incidents
- Ensure proper handling and safe keeping of cash collected and payment devices
- Provide excellent customer service
- Report equipment malfunction, maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Assist in implementing new revenue collection technologies or procedures as directed.
Carries out any other lawful assignment allocated by the immediate Supervisor.
- The jobholder is cooperative and readily responds to any ad hoc tasks assigned to him/her.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Business Science obtained from a recognized University.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in cash handling, revenue collection, or customer service preferred.
- Should be between 24 to 35 years of Age
Special skills and attributes:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent customer care skills.
Other requirements:
- High level of honesty and integrity.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in outdoor conditions
