- Role: Promotes a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing safety measures.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring workplace activities adhere to health and safety regulations and standards.
- Risk Assessment: Conducting thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Policy Development: Developing, implementing, and reviewing health and safety policies.
- Training Programs: Organizing training on safety topics (emergency procedures, equipment use, hazard recognition, toolbox talks, first aid drills).
- Incident Investigation: Investigating accidents or near misses, determining root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
- Safety Audits: Conducting inspections, maintaining records (Incident, Job Safety Analysis, Work Register forms), and closing non-conformities.
- Communication: Relaying safety information to staff and preparing safety performance reports for management.

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
