Key Responsibilities:
- Formulating and reviewing policies and guidelines on community mobilization in the water sector.
- Engaging personnel and private sector actors in community mobilization activities.
- Networking with stakeholders (Ministries of Health, Gender, Labour & Social Development, Education & Sports, NGOs, Private Sector) to monitor the use of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials and impact tracking.
- Monitoring, evaluating, and regulating the implementation of community mobilization and gender strategy in water sector activities.
- Planning, budgeting, and implementing social and gender mainstreaming activities in the Directorate.
- Documenting reforms and experiences for decision-making.
- Report Writing: Communicating research findings through reports, articles, and academic papers for publication or conferences.
- Policy Analysis: Analyzing social issues to inform public policy, evaluating policy impacts, and proposing solutions.
- Consultation: Providing expertise on social trends and cultural dynamics to organizations or government agencies.
- Social Advocacy: Using research to raise awareness of social injustices and contribute to social change.
- Supervising sociologists assigned to the project.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

- Educational Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (majoring in Sociology) or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in community or stakeholder management.
- Fluency in Luo, Acholi, and English.
- Problem-solving, negotiation, report writing, critical thinking, and communication skills.
