Job Title: Seed Processing Supervisor

The company has 25 years of experience in the production and commercialization of high-quality agricultural seed such as cereals and pulses, as well as the distributor of East West International hybrid vegetables seeds. NASECO has its head office in Kampala and production plant in Nalweyo Kakumiro district.
Job Summary: Efficiently advise, manage and implement seed processing activities along the entire seed processing cycle and related post-harvest handling and warehousing activities along the seasonal cycles to meet the set production target and to ensure product quality that meet the company’s high-quality standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the section – seasonal work plans and set targets for the processing section activities with the objective to deliver output in alignment with the production master plan.
- Supervise seed processing flow cycle
- Store management and logistic
- Implement sections Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); internal quality standards and good post-harvest handling practices.
- Coach, train and motivate your team
- Reporting on seed processing activities
- Implement the Health and Safety policies and procedures and conduct hazard identification
- Seasonal workers management such as attendance
- Maintain good housekeeping and a tidy work environment at all times.
- Any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors of Science degree in Agriculture, or any Agriculture related field.
Professional Experience:
- Three years’ experience in Production/managerial experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Training and experience in seed post-harvest handling.
- Knowledge of processing machinery.
- Competencies: Supervisory skills; Analytical skills, problem solving skills, ability to prioritize
