Data Analyst New Vision Printing and Publishing Company Ltd

This job is to manage company data including collection, storage and analysts. The data analyst brings technical experts to ensure quality accuracy and timely delivery of that data, then process, design and present it in ways to inform the company’s business decisions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Analyze data and interpret findings using statitical techniques to inform the business units strategic needs, support content development and analyze tronds.

• Manage data sets, including creation, development, updating and implementation of databases.

• Support the data collection systoms and other strategies that optimize statistical officiency and quality.

• Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization by dovoloping structums to monitor and chock on data collected against sot questionnaires.
• Provide tochnical expertise on data storage structures, data mining data cleaning and data analysis.

• Build internal capacity by training on data software, data usage and appropriate methodologies and tools to encum rollability and validity of the data collected.

• Process data and information into insights to support decision making.
• Assess tests for proposed now systems and implement software upgrade.
• Generate reports from single or multiple systems including content management system financial system and marketing information system to done correlations that support and Inform business strategic direction.

• Develop and design research tools based on calendar and adhoc studies as required.
• Koop abreast of current data development and arraignment trends within market research systems and technology to maintain personal skills/knowledge base to deliver loading edge solutions to the department.

Education and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Statistics, Science in Statistics, Quantitative Economics or Mathematics.
• A Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management will be an added advantage.
• Skills in qualitative methods will be an added advantage.

Working Experience

• 2-3 years workang expertence as a Data Analyst.
• Experience in data models and reporting packages.
• Ability to analyze large datasets.
• Ability to write comprehensive reports.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Computer and data analyst technical skill
• Computer software and tools including scripting language (Matlab, Python), Querying Language (SOL Hive, Pig), Spreadsheet (Excel) and Statistical Language (SAS, R, SPSS).
