Adroit Solutions is a registered Microsoft Partner in Uganda offering extensive consultancy in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central , Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure. We develop, maintain and offer support for cloud-based systems. We have a number of integrated system solutions under Microsoft Dynamics 365 e.g Adroit Human Resource and Payroll system, Hospital Management Information system, URA EFRIS system integration among others.
Job Summary: The Junior Communications Officer will support the planning, production, and dissemination of high-quality communications materials across digital, print, and media channels. The role requires a hybrid skill set that includes content creation, graphic design, website management, social media coordination, stakeholder engagement, and media relations. The officer will play a central role in maintaining brand integrity, amplifying project outcomes, and driving audience engagement in line with international standards—including those typical of a United Nations communications office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Content Development & Editorial Support
- Draft, edit, and proofread content for press releases, reports, blogs, case studies, newsletters, social media, and internal communications.
- Support storytelling initiatives that highlight the impact of Adroit’s work across sectors and regions.
- Maintain a consistent tone of voice and messaging aligned with brand and partner guidelines.
Visual Communication & Graphic Design
- Develop visual assets for digital and print platforms, including infographics, presentations, social media cards, brochures, and reports.
- Ensure all visual content adheres to brand identity standards and enhances content clarity and engagement.
Website & Digital Management
- Maintain and update the corporate website (WordPress or similar CMS), including posting blogs, updating service pages, and monitoring performance.
- Support UX/UI improvements and coordinate with web developers on new features or enhancements.
Social Media Management
- Manage Adroit’s social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram), including content planning, post scheduling, community management, and analytics tracking.
- Monitor trends and suggest content strategies to improve reach, engagement, and influence.
Media Relations & External Communications
- Assist in managing relationships with journalists and media houses.
- Coordinate media outreach, press briefings, interviews, and public relations campaigns.
- Maintain a media contact database and monitor coverage.
Event & Campaign Support
- Contribute to communication planning for events, webinars, launches, and conferences.
- Produce communication collateral including banners, briefing kits, talking points, and event recaps.
Reporting & Analytics
- Monitor and report on the performance of communication initiatives using digital analytics tools.
- Support the development of monthly and quarterly communications reports, documenting reach, engagement, and outcomes.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A university degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphic Design, International Relations, or a related field.
- Experience in design tools such as Adobe, Figma, Keynote and Power point will be an asset
Experience
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in a professional communications role, preferably in an international, Consulting firm, advertising agency, communications firm, NGO, development, or tech-driven environment.
- Experience supporting communication functions for public or multilateral institutions is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, Powerpoint, Key note ) or equivalent design tools.
- Skilled in CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), basic HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Proficient in social media tools (Hootsuite, Buffer) and digital analytics (Google Analytics, native platform insights).
- Strong writing and editorial skills with an eye for detail and clarity.
- Familiarity with corporate communication styles, templates, and branding standards is an advantage.
