Position: Project Coordinator in Charge of Partnerships
Reports To: Project Manager

- Public Partners (e.g., OPM, MoES, UCC, NCHE, DIT, NITA)
- Purpose of the Job
The Project Coordinator will develop, manage, and maintain strategic partnerships to achieve project objectives. Key responsibilities include establishing communication frameworks, monitoring partner progress, ensuring compliance, and promoting the project effectively.
- Key Functions & Critical Indicators
- Partnership Development & Management
- Develop and manage partnerships to meet project goals, ensuring:
- Stakeholder Register is prepared.
- Partnership agreements and MoU templates are developed.
- Partners understand and sign required agreements.
- Partners participate in project events and share progress updates.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish and maintain communication structures between the Project Office and partners.
- Prepare stakeholder engagement plans.
- Keep partners informed of project activities and results.
- Facilitate meetings and consultations with government institutions as needed.
- Partner Networking & Collaboration
- Identify common interests, strengths, and needs among partners.
- Connect partners to enhance collaboration and learning.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Conduct regular partner visits to assess progress and relationships.
- Maintain a reporting system on partner performance.
- Prepare consolidated progress reports.
- Address underperformance through mitigation strategies.
- Participate in partner meetings to provide guidance.
- Capacity Building & Best Practices
- Recommend studies/meetings/seminars to address gaps.
- Translate lessons learned into improved policies and procedures.
- Share best practices with partners and staff.
- Compliance Monitoring
- Ensure partners adhere to project/MCF policies (e.g., gender, youth, PWD inclusion).
- Report compliance observations with recommendations.
- Project Promotion
- Assist in planning and participating in public events.
- Review external-facing project materials.
- Represent the project professionally at all times.
- Additional Duties
- Organize partner workshops, meetings, and events.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.

- Personal Profile
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Management, International Development, or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (added advantage).
- Certified Project Management Professional.
- Certificate in Partnership Management (highly desirable).
Skills:
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Leadership, negotiation, and public relations experience.
- Analytical skills to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Fluency in English; local language proficiency is a plus.
- Counseling skills (advantageous).
Experience:
- 4+ years working with educational institutions.
- 5+ years in partner/stakeholder management.
- Experience in African contexts.
- Proven expertise in planning, budgeting, and financial resource management.
