Job Summary: Overall role is to ensure that all operational equipment and facilities are functioning efficiently while leading a team of maintenance personnel. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, developing maintenance plans, managing budgets, and fostering a collaborative team environment to achieve maintenance objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure all machinery and equipment function optimally
- Establish team goals, provide leadership, and mentorship to maintenance technicians and subcontractors.
- Draft and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) and preventive /predictive Maintenance plans.
- Maintain and manage budgets and maintenance capital expenditures.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with production managers to prioritize maintenance tasks based on production schedules and needs.
- Ensure spare parts inventory is maintained at optimal levels to avoid production disruptions.
- Train staff and develop Maintenance staff personnel.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and generate reports for management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree or 10-15 years of Maintenance Management experience.
- Significant hands-on maintenance experience in plastics manufacturing processes such as molding, blow-molding, and extrusion.
- Experience with mechanical systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and plant equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical systems including drives, servos, motors, and control panels.
- Understanding of troubleshooting electronics and automation systems without programming.
- 5 years of supervisory or management experience with direct reports.
- Strong knowledge of Preventative and Predictive Maintenance practices.
- Hands-on approach with strong coaching and mentoring skills
