Job Summary: The jobholder is responsible for securing new business, and following up on regular flow of incoming leads and client prospects. It has a broader role encompassing activities that go beyond the sales function.

It works at promoting brand visibility and creating strategic partnerships on behalf of the company.

Scope of duties: The job holder works in collaboration with all departments within the company to attract new business. This includes developing new concepts and turning these opportunities into product demands or winning contracts. This role has the latitude to explore and activate marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

Reporting Lines: This position directly reports to the Marketing Director.

Extent of authority: The job holder has direct supervision over subordinates in the department and determines workload and task allocation. All transactions of a financial nature are handled according to the company’s authorization matrix of approval limits.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing/Brands

  • Formulate and drive the marketing & digital strategy for Ultra Uganda so as to achieve its business objectives.
  • Lead efforts in designing and implementing effective marketing campaigns for digital, print and events.

Sales

  • Lead the sales team in developing and implementing the overall sales strategy for all product lines.
  • Secure new opportunities by identifying and building relationships with new/potential clients e.g. Corporate institutions, Government institutions Development agencies, Businesses etc.
  • Conduct regular training and product knowledge sessions.

Digital

  • Planning social media content by ensuring social media content is regular, relevant and engaging. This includes ensuring that approaches to social media are relevant and appropriate for each medium.
  • Work closely with various agencies and media partners/channels to ensure relevance, alignment and correct direction.
  • Oversee the official company website(s) by ensuring it maintains its robustness and creative appeal/flair.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • University degree preferably a Business-related degree (majoring in Marketing).
  • Solid knowledge in digital marketing.
  • Complementing skills & abilities
  • Strong understanding of B2B selling and service-based marketing.
  • Working knowledge of business IT systems and CRM software.
  • Good knowledge of social media (mandatory)
  • Demonstrable experience and competency in lead generation.
  • Strong passion for brands.
  • Possess clout and skill of persuasion.
