Job Summary:   We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and result-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive loan portfolio growth. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in microfinance sales, client acquisition, team leadership, and relationship management.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Develop and implement strategies for the achievement of the team portfolio quality target.
  • Recruit and lead the required sales agents/loan officers as per the targets.
  • Develop and implement staff retention strategies.
  • Regularly train and support sales agents on all processes.
  • Supervise and support Sales Agents to achieve their individual targets month on month on sales and portfolio quality.
  • Participate in the branch loans committee in timely appraisal and approval of all loans created by the team for compliance in line with product policies and procedures stipulated by the company.
  • To enforce a zero tolerance for fraud culture in his/her team.
  • To maintain high standards of customer satisfaction in line with the company’s customer service charter.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Economics, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales and business development within the microfinance or financial services sector.
  • A proven track record of growth in sales and client portfolio.
  • Strong leadership skills and prior experience managing field agents or sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and proficiency in using CRM systems, in particular LoanDisk or sales tracking tools.
