Job Summary: The Electronic Channels Officer will plan and coordinate activities and initiatives that promote growth of ATM and merchant POS services to achieve and exceed the Bank’s sales volumes, growth, market share and profitability objectives while ensuring security and total customer satisfaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and reliable support to branches to ensure delivery of excellent ATM and merchant POS services to all Bank customers.
- Ensure all ATM and merchant POS complaints and queries are attended to within agreed SLA.
- Offer training to internal and external teams to equip them well to be competent to handle customers and serve them.
- Provide analytical reports on usage of ATM and POS services at the Bank.
- Ensure that there is no income leakage from ATM and POS services.
- Participate in ATM and POS projects (Product Testing, Product go-live support, Customer and staff training).
- Monitoring of ATM and POS systems uptime, resolving and escalating incidents appropriately and reporting timely on downtime.
- Work with partners to ensure high availability of ATM and POS services and resolution of issues within SLA.
- Participate in review/drafting of ATM and POS policies and Procedures Manuals.
- Monitor changes and trends in the ATM and POS services to ensure competitiveness in the market and alignment to customer preference.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in business related course or IT discipline gained from a recognized university.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in the banking industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ideal candidate should be a good team player, an outstanding sales person with the ability to mobilize and grow activity and income from ATM and POS services.
- Should be a good communicator with superb attention to detail, unquestionable character and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry in Uganda with ability to keep abreast of developments in the business and financial services environment and their impact.
- Good relationship Management skills.
- Customer centric.
- Strong communications and presentation skills.
- Good interpersonal and networking skills.
- Excellent marketing and people management skills.
- Familiarity with Banking practices, policies and procedures.
