Junior Operations Geologist TotalEnergies

1. Contribute to the pertinence, reliability, quality, and proper dispatching of the data collected.
2. Actively participate to the training and technical development of the local professionals.
3. Contribute to ensure that all geological operations are carried out in strict respect of the HSE regulations.
4. Apply and promote Company HSE policies within the geological operations activities. Contribute to the Company compliance best practices following regulatory authority, environmental conservation guidelines and internal Company Rules for the well preparation process and operational follow-up.
5. Be the referent for the Operation Geology team of all HSE matters such as HSE audits, HSE training and relevant reporting under supervision.
6. Contribute actively to safety during drilling operations through efficient implementation, integration and interpretation of real time detection techniques, proper control of the contractor equipment and methods used on site
7. Actively participate to the WSOR process integrating Pore and Fracture Pressure studies, Shallow Hazard, Drill Site Assessment, and relevant mitigation measures.
8. Supervise the Wellsite Geologists and ensure their competency level. Contribute to the WSG training and mentoring process.
9. Execute geological operations activities safely and as specified in the WSOR. Assess possible geological risks while drilling and guarantee the timely transmission of this information to the relevant entities. May participate to the Real Time Support Center to assist for any critical operation or situation such as well landing, casing shoe decision, critical logging acquisition or for any emergency occurring on a rig site.
10. Contribute to the data acquisition programs optimizing whenever possible with innovative solutions to safely acquire fit for purpose data achieving well objectives at lowest possible cost preserving data reliability and quality.
11. Contribute to the proper dispatch, analysis and storage of rock & fluid samples.
12. Contribute to the full well data recovery and participate to the proper data archiving and distribution of the well data in accordance with the Affiliate data management rules and country regulations.
13. Contribute to the local SQM’s for Mud Logging, Electrical Logging and LWD services following up operational performance and associated costs.
14. Contribute to the development of operations geology skills especially for local new professionals.
15. Participate in the delivery of necessary reports such as WSOR memo, Geological Well Prognosis, End of Well Reports and their distribution and guarantee proper and regular reporting of the operations to all relevant entities.
16. Perform in coordination with the Operation Geologist Coordinator for the Geological End of Well Reports prepared by the WSGs, with input from the log analyst and the Asset Geologist and/or Reservoir Engineer.
17. Support the Senior Operation Geologist in all her/his activities.

Candidate profile
1. Minimum Bachelor’s Hons Degree in Geology or other geosciences disciplines.
2. At least 3 years of experience in the Operations Geology domain (including Operations Geology, Petrophysics, and onshore drilling), 5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry. Strong ability to work in a cross functional environment.
