Medical Officer Case Hospital

JOB CONTENT
1. The Medical Officer’s duties include examining patients, diagnosing common illnesses, and administering or prescribing appropriate treatment also be able to address patients’ health-related queries.
2. A medical Officer should be able to communicate the gravity of diagnoses while reassuring patients who are in distress and will suggest appropriate referrals if necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Inspecting and updating patients’ charts.
2. Diagnosing common ailments such as colds, flu, and diabetes.
3. Administering medication topically, orally, and via intravenous or intramuscular injections.
4. Prescribing apt medications and lifestyle alterations.
5. Asking for laboratories tests for further investigations.
6. Referring patients to specialists for further testing and treatment, if needed.
7. Managing patients who have health insurance appropriately.
8. Anticipating and responding to patients’ wellness-related questions and concerns.
9. Performing any other duty given by your manager within your responsibilities.

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE
1. Medical Degree.
2. Successful completion of a 1-year residency training program.
3. Should have a valid Annual Practicing license.
4. At least 2 years’ experience as a General Practitioner.
5. PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
6. Adherence to health and ethical codes.
7. Strong ability to triage and multitask.
8. Excellent administrative skills.
9. Very good communication skills.
10. Interpersonal skills.
11. Compassionate.
