Regional Business Manager Sun King

The EasyBuy Direct Sales team is the market-facing arm of Sun King’s pay-as-you-go (PAYG) direct-to-consumer sales business. The EasyBuy Direct Sales team recruits, manages, and supervises the company’s network of thousands of commission sales agents, called “Field Sales Executives”, that promote and sell Sun King’s PAYG solar solutions and provide customer ongoing service in their local territories.

Through the EasyBuy PAYG solar business model, customers can purchase a Sun King solar home solution by making a small down payment upfront and paying the remaining balance through a series of instalments over a pre-planned period.

About the role:
The Regional Business Manager is accountable for generating sales, ensuring collections are timely and accurate and keeping the entire direct distribution network growing rapidly in a sustainable manner with the help of their team that typically consists of Area Business Managers, Sun King Store Executives, and Field Service Executives of the region.

What you would be expected to do;
• Team Management and Motivation: The Regional Business Manager is accountable for hiring, retaining, and motivating a high-performing regional team, including Area Business Managers, Sun King Executives, and Field Sales Executives, to ensure top-notch customer service and business performance.
• Training and Professionalism: Provide comprehensive training to Area Business Managers, ensuring alignment with company standards and professionalism when dealing with customers. Maintain a strong focus on ethics and integrity.
• Field Operations Management: Regularly engage with Area Business Managers and top-performing Field Service Executives through field visits or remote touchpoints. Resolve issues promptly and ensure that Area Business Managers are well-versed in core sales and collection processes.
• Sales and Collections Targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales and collection targets, reporting progress and key metrics to sales supervisors. Drive sales processes, customer profiling, follow-ups, and issue resolution to maximise revenue collection.
• Customer Focus and Cost Management: Prioritize customer satisfaction by addressing product-related issues promptly. Efficiently manage marketing and other expenditures to maximise return on investment.

You might be a strong candidate if you:
• Hold a Degree or Diploma in business studies or in any relevant field.
• Possess at least four years of field sales experience, working in FMCG or related industries, preferably in the same region.
• Can demonstrate a passion for serving rural, off-grid consumers and resolving their needs.
• Exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset, able to work with limited supervision, employ innovative problem-solving skills, and adapt to changing situations.
• Possess strong communication skills, capable of building and managing large field sales teams, with fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of the region’s local language will be an added advantage.
