Job Description: Watoto Childcare Ministries is seeking a Nurse to support day-to-day clinical activities within Watoto Clinics. As a Nurse, you will participate in clinical rounds, perform nursing duties, ensure prompt resolution of clinical issues, and maintain up-to-date medical records.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily clinical rounds and perform nursing duties as allocated by the Supervisor.
- Ensure prompt resolution of clinical issues prioritizing the health and well-being of patients.
- Identify and contain infections early, providing clear instructions about infection control.
- Participate in patients’ and children’s feed calculations and nutritional management.
- Maintain up-to-date medical records and provide clinical updates to the Supervisor.
- Participate in health programs within and outside Watoto as needed.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Diploma in Nursing from a reputable institution.
- Registered Nurse with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
- Minimum two years’ experience in nursing.
- Valid and current practicing license.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to patients.
- Passionate about community healthcare and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Commitment to working within standardized guidelines of nursing care.
