Job Description: Watoto Christian International School is seeking a Monitor to support Christian education and the development of godly transformational leaders. As a Monitor, you will facilitate teaching, learning, skills, and moral development while ensuring the smooth operation of the learning center.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete attendance records and issue corrective action notices and homework assignment slips.
  • Prepare and pull tests, file old ‘conferenced’ PACEs and Tests, and prepare congratulation slips for successfully passed PACE Tests.
  • Keep scoring station and other areas of the learning center clutter-free.
  • Ensure the learning center is in order and remind supervisors of scheduled activities.
  • Coordinate non-academic questions, supervise breaks and lunch, and check homework assignment slips.
  • Monitor scoring station, issue de/merits, supervise detention time, and ensure students stay focused on their work.
  • Demonstrate good stewardship of resources and promote the general progress and well-being of learners.
  • Create a conducive learning space that respects the needs of learners and teachers.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Diploma in Primary Education; certificate in Primary Education/ECD or related field is acceptable.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in teaching, preferably in ACE syllabus.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to work well in a team, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
