Position: Plant Maintenance Mechanic

Key Result Areas
- Assist in the installation of new machines in the plant.
- Diagnose and attend to all mechanical faults and breakdowns.
- Conduct preventive, autonomous, and breakdown maintenance.
- Report and assist in the analysis of incidents or potential hazards.
- Monitor and record the use of workplace consumables and make requisitions where required.
- Use and maintain workshop tools in accordance with working conditions and specifications.
- Perform daily checks to ensure machines meet safety standards.
- Plan and develop work schedules, equipment usage schedules, and procedures for equipment maintenance.
- Prepare daily maintenance reports for submission to the Mechanical Supervisor and Production Officer.
- Provide operational support to the Machine Operators.
- Participate in daily housekeeping practices.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
- Higher or Ordinary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any related discipline.
- 3 years’ experience in electrical repair and maintenance, including one year of supervisory experience.
Skills & Professional Attributes
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical components and their applications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical maintenance, production processes, and control logic.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, mathematical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent personnel management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent team player with the ability to manage time efficiently.
