Job Description:
The IT Help Desk Support Engineer at Norvik Hospital Ltd is responsible for providing technical support across the company, ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of IT systems and networks. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills, capable of responding to service issues promptly and effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).
- Setting up accounts for new users.
- Providing answers to clients by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding clients through corrective steps.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
- Maintaining system capability by testing computer components.
- Preparing reference materials for users by writing operating instructions.
- Maintaining historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions.
- Maintaining client confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential.
- Keeping professional and technical knowledge up-to-date by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Possibly training more junior staff members.
- Performing any other functions as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
