Assistant Network Administrator

Job Description: Watoto Childcare Ministries is seeking an Assistant Network Administrator to provide strategic, technical, and administrative support to the Networks function of the IT Department. As an integral part of our team, you will contribute to the implementation of ICT strategy and policies in alignment with Watoto’s vision and objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing ICT strategy and policies.
- Monitor networking equipment for optimal performance.
- Support network workplace and hardware infrastructure management.
- Install, arrange, and maintain switching, routing equipment.
- Manage security concerns and system improvements.
- Evaluate and document network architecture issues.
- Provide network support and formalized training programs.
- Troubleshoot network faults to resolution.
- Document all issues diagnosed and resolved.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Industry Certification from CISCO, Microsoft, or FortiGate.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a reputable organization.
- At least 2 years’ experience in network administration and technical implementation.
- Proficiency in Smart Wi-Fi networks, Microwave Bridges, Unifi, Sophos, and FortiGate Firewall systems.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Knowledge of Networking design and operations principles.
- Familiarity with budgeting, financial planning, and management reporting.
