Standard Chartered Bank Uganda today has a network of 11 branches in Kampala, Jinja, Mbale, Mbarara and Gulu. Standard Chartered Bank Uganda has 29 ATMs and over 600 staff.

 

Job Summary:  The Manager, Tele-sales and Retention will deliver revenue, retention and cross sell budgets across all assigned product lines for the Telesales & Retention unit ensuring consistent high level team productivity

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Business

  • Deliver your revenue target
  • Ensure Portfolio coverage by all team members
  • Manage outbound activities for all agents in the team
  • Ensure delivery of targets for all retail product lines as required by the business
  • Manage costs within agreed limits

Processes

  • Ensure quality service delivery during outbound activities within the stipulated processes and governance

People & Talent

  • Perform coaching to deliver improve agent performance

Governance

  • Ensure compliance to all V&V governance requirements

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • At least two years’ experience in leading sales and Service
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Lead the [country / business unit / function/[team] to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.] *
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the Bank’s products, services and delivery channels

  • Computer literate, and with the ability to maintain and update customer databases
  • Knowledge of retail banking market in Uganda, and the financial markets as a whole.
