OVERVIEW

The Project Coordinator, ECCD will be responsible for effectively and efficiently planning, managing and delivering the ECCD project components of Sponsorship within the Impact Area in ways that meet both local and international requirements and guidelines.

THE ROLE

Key areas of accountability include:

  • project financial and budgetary management.
  • ECCD Program Planning
  • ECCD Program implementation Management.
  • Project Reporting.
  • Advocacy, Networking and influencing

To be successful for this role you will bring/have the following:

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education with a Post graduate training in Early childhood Development.
  • At least 5 years progressive experience in planning and implementation of Early Childhood Development program targeting Children from (0-8) years.
  • Experience of working with local partners and District Local Government in Child Rights Governance, Health, Nutrition, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection is an added advantage.
  • Experience of working with the Local Government, local partners and training in ECCD, with a focus on improving service delivery within the schools and at home
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic planning abilities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform effectively as a member of a team.
  • Ability to speak the local language fluently is a strong requirement.
  • Ability to ride a motorcycle (Honda XL 125).
  • Willingness to travel and work in hard-to-reach areas, occasionally under strenuous conditions
  • Computer literacy and excellent documentation skills are a must.
