Country Manager Swift Minds

Role Purpose:
Our client is looking a well experienced individual to manage in-country operations (Uganda) with great understanding of the Oil and Gas capacity building needs. The incumbent should have built great industry relations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant Tertiary qualification or preferably a Technical Qualification
• Minimum Seven (7) years’ experience in a management capacity
• Good awareness of target market intelligence and opportunities
• Existing customer relationships and experience
• Good technical background preferably Scaffold Services, Thermal Insulation and industrial industry related
• Previous exposure in terms of estimating, tendering and contracting is essential
• Previous exposure in terms of NEC conditions of contract is essential
• Familiar with Construction Regulations, SANS 100085, OSHACT and BCEA
• Familiar with ISO 9001:2000 requirements
• Good understanding of Project Management
• Computer Literate – Excel, MS Word, Microsoft Teams
• Excellent communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills
• System and customer orientated
• Self-starter with high motivation and a desire to succeed
• Strong Leadership traits and achiever orientated, but also a team worker
• Trustworthy, compliance focused with strong work ethics
• Ability to lead effective under pressure

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall output of his/her Branch/Country and assets and resources allocated to him/her.
• Execute and implement strategic measures to ensure Branch profitability and market share
• Effective management of Contract Managers and Sites reporting to the Branch Manager ensuring performance standards are being met and/or exceeded.
• Financial management of area under his/her control.
• Ensuring an efficient and effective workforce under his control.
• Establishing and maintaining excellent customer relationships
• Performance Management of team and branch/Country
• Ensuring compliance to Health, Safety and Environmental and QMS (Quality Management System) System.
• Ensure a climate of fair Industrial Relations in terms of the Company policy and BCEA
• Promote Employment Equity and development of people.
• Should have a related Degree and Masters degree will be an added advantage
• Must have demonstrated leadership at the highest level.
