Advocacy Specialist Caritas Mbarara

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Humanities with a minimum of an Upper Second. A postgraduate qualification with Public Policy analysis, design and formulation.
• Qualifications in Monitoring and Evaluation will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in policy analysis and influence, budget advocacy, stakeholders engagements including partnership and coalition building at local and national levels.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of the job is to enhance Caritas Mbarara capacity in advocacy, research and policy influence for improved livelihoods of Small Holder Farmers in the project areas. Building and managing strategic partnerships with relevant political leaders, Civil Servants, Like minded Civil Society Organizations at Local, District and National Levels. Develop and implement M&E systems related to advocacy interventions. Note: This is a part time job.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to carry out research and analysis.
• Relationship and network building and maintenance. capacity
• Ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and concise manner. Monitoring, evaluation and learning.
• Computer literacy (data management, content generation for the physical and online publications)
